Why walnut

Walnut is a classic furniture hardwood with a warm, chocolate-brown color and smooth, flowing grain. It is hard enough for everyday serving and ages beautifully, gaining a soft sheen with use. The three sizes let you choose a tray for a single cup of tea or a longer board for a shared snack platter.

Ways to use it

• Tea and coffee service with cups and small sweets
• Sushi, appetizers or a small cheese board
• A desk or vanity tray for pens, jewelry or skincare
• A base for candles or a small plant

How to care for your wooden tray

• Hand wash with warm water and a little mild soap, then dry it right away with a soft towel.
• Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking in water, as this can cause warping and cracks.
• Rub in a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil or beeswax every few weeks, or whenever the wood looks dry or pale.
• Keep it away from direct heat, such as stovetops and radiators, and out of strong sunlight for long periods.

Small differences in color and grain between pieces are normal for natural wood and are part of what makes each tray one of a kind.
